Abstract
This paper is a summary of research that the two authors are carrying into the editorial history of “Zodiac”, which will be published shortly in a book. The first series (1957-1973) was published by Edizioni di Comunità, Adriano Olivetti's publishing house. Since it is impossible to understand the intellectual and biographical structure of Zodiac without having an idea, albeit only approximate, of the complex entrepreneurial, intellectual, editorial and financial history of Olivetti's constellation, the first part of the essay is dedicated to these events. The essay then examines the relationship between Olivetti and architecture, one based on the theme of community. It then analyses the structure of the magazine, the people involved and the authors who contributed to it. Finally, it explores the various themes addressed by the magazine and the relationship between articles, images and drawings.
